This collection was inspired but the name Kan’i which means easiness or simpleness in Japanese. And that’s exactly what they are; easy to wear and simplicity of design. No side seams, no zips, no buttons or snaps…just beautiful comfortable, premium natural fibres on your skin, with a tie at the front.
Ethically made, the textile design is created here in my Brisbane studio, hand-dyed with Indigo using an Itajime (folded & clamped) Shibori technique which creates these striking ‘Tribal’ pattern over the fabric. After being cut in the studio the sewing is done by my local seamstress.
Fit
Sizing is relaxed + you can adjust the waist tie to fit your body comfortably. The length is meant to just hit where your foreleg meets your ankle.

Cotton Etamine (a lightweight 130 gsm fabric) from St George, QLD
